Overhead Transmission was not formed one night over a drunken bet, though it might just have been so. There is probably no other way that such an eclectic and diverse group of individuals could come together. With interests ranging from the environment, social entrepreneurship, mechanical engineering to pop culture osmosis. A love for quizzing (facilitated in no small way by an acute shortage of romantic prospects...being in an engineering college and all...) brought us together and thus, the idea for a quizzing collective was born.
After winning school and college quizzes all over the country we started thinking about what we could do to promote our unique brand of quizzes throughout the country and perhaps (hopefully) elevate it to the position of a (respectable?) sport.

BobekVivek Krishnan graduated from Pilani in 2010. During his five years in Pilani, he discovered the lost hostel of Rana Pratap and mapped the treacherous forest-lawns behind the Saraswati Temple, while also juggling a dual degree in physics and mechanical engineering. A man of extreme beliefs, he believes Aquafina flushes out the competition from Kinley, Maaza beats Slice to a pulp and Perk crushes Munch like the wafer that it is. An accomplished player of both rugby and poker, he portrayed the role of one end of a pendulum in a play in 2007. 
RisKRishabh is a senior Economics /Civil undergraduate at Pilani. He occasionally lends his services to the English Drama Club for a cameo or two. He is currently the Head of Communications at Grassroutes, a fellowship program that sends youth on road trips where they are tied up with NGOs to drive social change. His interests lie in sustainable enterprises, education, developmental economics and how the web can be used to drive social change. He is one of only 3 Asian staff writers on Nextbillion, Acumen Fund's blog on development through enterprise and was also one of the few Indians to attend the COP 15 in Copenhagen. 
SahaUtsab Saha is a 3rd Year Student of Electrical and Electronics at BITS Pilani where he is currently the secretary of the English Language Activities Society, the official quizzing society on campus. He is usually bored, lonely and Bengali and in his spare time moonlights as a singer for the Music Club on campus, an Editor for the APOGEE English Press and failed thespian. An H2G2 enthusiast, he aspires to be completely out to lunch and often spends most of mid-morning planning it. 
LachhuAditya Lakshman is a 3rd year Student of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani where he spends much of his time designing and driving race cars. Raised in the Hinterland of Jharkhand, Lachhu grew up on a healthy diet of Tata Quizzes, tribal chants and Bhojpuri movies.His hobbies inclue philately, numismatics and pneumatics. He also enjoys taking his clothes off, appendicitis and long walks on the Beach. 
SreejanSreejan Shandilya was born in the small industrial hamlet of Ranchi. The kid who dreamt of the Red Beacon grew up to be a man who wears many hats. Email hacker, fake profile manager, avid quizzer, maggi maker, aspiring economist and leg puller. The veteran of several school quizzes, Sreejan's achievements include the TATA Steel Quiz, ESPN School Quiz and Tata Crucible. In his spare time sreejan likes to pick his nose to the soulful musical sty lings of the Beatles and Abba. |
